<p>Maieve Gallup began her career in finance at age 19 as a Sales Assistant for a NYSE brokerage firm. She worked her way up to become the youngest stock broker in the history of the firm. After her distinguished career as a broker, Maieve left the industry to study the arts in Europe for 2 years.</p>
<p>When she returned to the U.S., Maieve worked at a start-up company as an inbound customer service representative. Maieve advanced her career by creating and deploying an effective national sales strategy.</p>
<p>Competitive Analysis – A pivotal point in Ms. Gallup’s career came in the mid-90s. She developed a comprehensive competitive analysis on the brokerage industry, leading a team of sixteen stock brokers. The analysis was so thorough, the Board of Directors of a purchasing bank said they wanted to use their project to evaluate their 80 business lines. At this point, Maieve’s leadership ability was clear.</p>
<p>Innovative Program Development – In 1999 Maieve moved to Texas. Devastated after the end of her marriage, she wanted to use her financial experience to make a difference for others. Maieve created and tested new programs engaging kids in ongoing service of their own communities. As part of her research she took a class at the Harvard Graduate School of Education: Views on Understanding.</p>
<p>Sustainable Program Development – Under her leadership children serviced their own communities through arts based community service projects for two and a half years. Maieve’s programs reached from Peru to the suburbs of Texas, from American Airlines Corporate Headquarters, to local assisted living facilities. Her programs were acknowledged by the North Carolina Board of Education Community to Schools as a &#8220;Best Practice.&#8221;</p>
<p>After 9/11 – Maieve was at the height of delivering these programs, ready to speak and present at a national level when 9/11 happened. All state sponsored travel was cancelled. Maieve went back into the economy with a young baby, an effective career history and years of taking a good idea and turning it into a program to make a difference for others, but she could not find a job. She did temporary jobs for $8 an hour to provide medical insurance for her son.</p>
<p>This experience, her ability to maintain her home on a shoestring budget and her willingness to do whatever it takes, gives Maieve a unique ability to understand and to inspire people.</p>
<p>January 2003, Maieve reinvented her career again: she completed her training as a Licensed Loan Officer to start a job as a Loan Processor. Again, she worked her way up from an entry level position to manage a sales team. She did credit repair work to get clients into homes for free. Maieve took her first client’s credit score from the 400s to the 600s; enabling her client to buy her first home. Today this same client has maintained her credit score due to Maieve’s training. And, six years later, this client lives in her home valued at $325,000 with $100,000 in equity.</p>
<p>Maieve did not stray from her care for people while in her loan career. She did extensive educational work around credit, home ownership, and finances for families and teachers of the Dallas Chapter of Headstart. The Executive Director hailed Maieve as a consummate “Humanitarian&#8221;. Today she mentors high school students and volunteers handling the missions for her son&#8217;s first grade classroom.</p>
<p>After spending 7800 minutes on the phone, in the month of December 2008, fielding all kinds of questions about personal finance and business strategy, unable to keep up with the volume of calls, moved by the real issues and concerns facing so many people, Maieve decided to accept the calling.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;If I can take simple finance and work through the issue of a foreclosure in an hour and a half with a woman who had been working with her bank for 3.5 months, and resolve the problem, this information is needed. I only have so many hours in a day. If other people can help distribute the information and make money by reselling it, we have a larger solution that impacts more people.&#8221; </em></p>
<p>She is now developing media and curriculum to deliver a powerful message of hope directly to consumers, delivering solutions to people who need them. She is consolidating years of high level consulting and business development strategies, distilling that into accessible, simple actions that make a lifelong difference to anyone who is willing to act newly, for a whole new life. Hobby soon turned to passion and profession. Stephen founded and directed Tornado Alley Safari tours for ten years, garnering international print and broadcast media acclaim. Now he shares the inspiring stories of storm hunting and weather to inspire audiences and open their eyes to the wondrous and humbling power of nature.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-1452" title="Stephen Levine Safari" src="http://www.speakercoop.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Stephen-Levine-Safari-300x214.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="214" />Some words from Stephen: January Thunderstorm- A Rare Gem<strong> </strong><strong>– </strong>Last night, I awakened to an awesome sight around 12:20 a.m. Entire swaths of sky suddenly transformed to sheets of fluttering and flickering white light, followed by soft rumbles and whispers of thunder. Over time, strobes grew more and more brilliant, reflecting across rooftops and earth; illuminating my entire bedroom-much to my heart&#8217;s delight. Thunder expanded across more and more sky, with increasing depth and loudness. I gazed in awe, gratitude and meditative contemplation into seas of light that flickered up to four times per minute.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-1450" title="StephenLevine" src="http://www.speakercoop.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/StephenLevine009-300x221.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="221" />Within 20 minutes, lightning grew to dazzling; flashes transforming the night again and again, followed by roars across sky. Rain, falling very lightly suddenly burst into pounding drops, creating its own roar and briefly mingling with small hailstones knocking on the roof. Streetlights faded to mists and one nearly blinding bluish flash gave way to earth shaking thunder claps. Rain tapered as suddenly as it came and flickers slowly pressed into the Northeast horizons, illuminating sheets and layers of clouds into mysterious shadows.</p>
